Stealth-Lock™ MIF Connection
The Mechanical Interference Fit (MIF) transforms pipe joining by using a cold-forming interference joint rather than a separate connector. As the “Bell” expands over the “Pin” during insertion, a compressive load is applied across the engagement area. Combined with steel-on-steel friction, this load gives the joint exceptional strength and reliability.
Pipe Compatibility
Our system processes standard API 5L pipes from Grade B to X70, including SMLS, HFI, or ERW, using client-supplied inventory or our vertically integrated network of partners.
Stealth-Lock™ handles nominal diameters from 2 to 16 inches (60–406mm), bare carbon steel, FBE, or 3LPP coated, with wall thicknesses up to 1 inch (25.4mm). Optional geometrical adaptations allow use with internal polyethylene (PE) liners, maximising integrity and field performance, even in critical sour service conditions.
